Entry Requirements To be admitted into the S•A•M program, students must complete the equivalent of Stage 1 of the SACE in their home country. The SACE group requirements (at least one subject from the arts/humanities/social and cultural studies group of subjects and at least one subject from the mathematics/science/technology group of subjects) must be met. Students must also satisfy English language proficiency requirements. Malaysian students must have completed the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, and Chinese students must have completed the core program for the Chinese Senior Secondary Graduation Certificate. Schools in each country conduct their own English language preparatory programs to ensure their students have the best possible chance of succeeding in the S•A•M program. Although SSABSA accepts a variety of pathways to English language proficiency, the benchmark is a score of 6 or better on the International English language Testing System (IELTS).
